  • There is a workforce shortage and affordability in the childcare sector, leading to difficulties in maintaining quality care and meeting child-to-staff ratios. There are currently about 15,400 vacant positions in the childcare sector (according to Seek). Traditional recruiting agencies are slow, limited control over quality and high-fees. Educators also have limited control over their schedules and work location. Our app streamlines this process by connecting centres directly with qualified educators, ensuring both speed and quality at a lower cost. We remove the middleman, allowing centres to post shifts and match with educators instantly.

  • Our team has firsthand experience working in the childcare sector, giving us a deep understanding of their specific needs. Together, we conducted user interviews and even a field study where our team worked as educators. The app was born to solve 3 key challenges: cost, reliability and consistency of care. The tech was created to deliver unique experiences, replacing human intervention to create the right matches. We provide the power back to our educators to decide when and where they want to work. Centres can quickly post shifts, while our qualified educators can view and accept them at their convenience.

  • Our solution is revolutionary in the childcare sector. We have facilitated over 140,000 shifts and connected over 2000 childcare centres and 10,000 educators in just over 2 years. This has a direct impact on the educators where they can easily find work while meeting their personal requirements. Our 90% fill rate provides the centre with seamless recruiting experience so that they can maintain their children-to-staff ratio, keeping the centre operating. We offer our educators a better pay and offer a competitive rate to centres due to the technology we offer.

  • There are 3 key problems we are addressing: Consistency of care, cost and reliability. We leveraged an algorithm to identify and reward top performers. This system recognises and incentivises high-quality educators. This includes gamification, bonuses and access to more work. Our “Favourites” feature reward high-performing educators with the priority to view the shift first. This has ensured consistency of care for centres. Our two-sided marketplace boasts an industry-leading fill rate, with thousands of shifts filled within seconds. User experience research ensures seamless interaction between our operations team, centres, and educators. The ”Shift Chats” feature facilitates direct communication, with admin oversight for added support. We provide a bespoke approval process where different stakeholders have appropriate control of cost and measure. We have developed a Centre Dashboard portal where data analysis and insights are provided to our clients, unlike anything the sector has seen before. Casual educators have to adapt to new environments with potentially varied expectations. Our detailed centre profiles provide visual cues, fostering a sense of familiarity and connection for educators before arrival. We further empower decision-making by personalising shift information. Educators can now see accurate travel times based on their preferred methods and propose alternative hours if needed.
