With three campuses across the Mornington Peninsula, Woodligh is one of Melbourne’s most prestigious private education providers. In late 2023, their marketing team engaged and entrusted Spicy Web to design and build a new website that embodies their unique principals of progressive and creative education.

  • With a focus on a progressive and creative education environment, the challenge for the Woodleigh website was to present an engaging, dynamic, and truly unique digital flagship experience, while balancing the more practical day-to-day needs of a school’s website.

  • The outcome is a design-led experience, packed with engaging imagery, dynamic layout and animation, and colourful micro-experiences. The website contains endless instances of engaging illustration and animation — we affectionately refer to them as ‘microdoses of joy’. Working with renowned Melbourne-based illustrator Carla McRae, we developed a set of animated illustrations that represent the key stages of education through the Woorldigh School system. These illustrations have been creatively integrated into the website design, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.

  • The outcome of this project is a design-lead experience that truly pushes the boundaries of what a school website is expected to be. Like Woodleigh, the new website is one of its kind in its field.
