Broadcast markets are moving to IP technologies to replace legacy technologies such as ISDN and POTS phone lines for transporting live broadcast audio streams. The ViA remote codec takes advantage of the latest cellular and WiFi technologies to allow the flexibility required by radio and television broadcasters.

  • This device needed to be small and mobile with an enormous amount of built-in technology. It needed to be robust, and include rubber overmoulding to protect the internal components from impact. Including a touch screen with a number of buttons and controls ergonomically arranged for practical, functional use. The device needs to connect to new IP network interfaces, ie: Wi-Fi, cellular etc as well as old technologies as they transition. A heat generating device that needed to be cooled.
