To provide a user experience that would feel simple, delightful and engaging, across a vast array of trails and other content. The new website should promote ease of use as well as a sense of discovery, providing a platform for users to find core trail information, save trails and use them offline.

The new TrailsWA website promotes a high level of accessibility, with users being able to quickly navigate or search their favourite trails, browse large areas of the state via map, or discover new trails by criteria. While the platform is incredibly large, the experience feels simple and promotes trail discovery throughout. By combining the TrailsWA brand and the beauty of WA, the new website is highly functional and inspiring, encouraging its audience to go out and explore amazing places throughout the state.

The focus of the new TrailsWA website is to encourage visitors to get outdoors and explore WA. The design promotes discovery, and helps anyone of any skill level or background to find suitable trails for them to explore. Users can register an account to favourite trails, collect badges for completing trails and share their experiences with other trail goers. Additional "Trail Towns" are promoted as key destinations, which includes local business promotion and encourages supporter donations.
