Seatfrog is an Australian technology startup transforming the way airlines and rail providers sell a matrix of ancillary services from booking through to departure. The service includes the opportunity for customers to upgrade or switch their seat and gain access to lounges. A research-led design approach was conducted to improve the online experience.

  • As Seatfrog and their user base has grown, their website has become more vital for converting new users onto the platform and a key business tool for building new relationships with Airlines and Rail providers across the globe. Seatfrog approached us to design and develop a brand new website that allows users to download the app(s) they need and to handle new business partner enquiries.

  • To better understand the needs of business partners, we conducted interviews with current and potential Airline and Rail partners around the world. We analysed their current website usage and sent surveys to current Seatfrog users to better understand how we could craft the best experiences for both customers and potential business partners. We took a ‘mobile first’ responsive approach with simple, clear experiences to optimise the needs of both the audiences. We delivered a slick, modern UI with animation elements, delivered on a CMS to allow easy administration and content updates.

  • The new website has significantly improved app download conversion rates and seen an uplift in partner enquiries. The new content management system, allows Seatfrog to rapidly create partner specific mini-sites for marketing and conversion optimisation. Our on-going design partnership with Seatfrog has helped drive their rapid success from a small Sydney-based team, to a team of 35 and regarded as one of the travel industries most innovative companies.

  • Our research-led approach highlighted key areas of the customer journey from acquisition to support, and the users touch-points with the website. Identifying these key areas enabled us to design specific flows and sections to optimise their experiences. The result is a simple, easy to use and navigable experience that focuses on providing clear information. The use of subtle animation effects helps to emphasise these elements. The build sits on a content management system, SMS integration for sending app download links from desktop to your mobile phone, CRM integration, built-in conjunction with modern ES6 javascript and custom animations.
