This project addresses the need for a high-performance, energy-efficient compressor refrigerator suited to caravan use. Key challenges included operating within limited battery and solar capacity while maintaining consistent cooling in high ambient temperatures. The design had to withstand vibration, confined installation spaces, and variable operating conditions. Additional constraints involved minimising noise, optimising insulation and airflow, and ensuring ease of installation and serviceability. The final solution balances performance, durability, and low power consumption, delivering reliable refrigeration for off-grid and mobile environments.

The project delivers a high-efficiency refrigeration system tailored for caravan use. Optimised insulation and airflow management ensure reliable operation in high ambient temperatures and restricted ventilation conditions.With a 166L capacity within a standard cabinet footprint, the design maximises usable space through an efficient internal layout, including adjustable shelves, balconies, a crisper, and integrated LED lighting.
