The Remora Velocity™ is an integrated surfboard transport system replacing loose tie-down straps with attachment built into the bag itself. It secures to roof bars in 90 seconds, the board slides out in 10 and in in 20 seconds, transforming board transport into a faster, safer and error-free process.

  • For over 50 years surfers have relied on loose straps, paint scratching metal buckles, and ad-hoc user judgement to reliably secure surfboards to hard metal roof bars.It involves throwing straps and metal buckles over the car, tightening enough to clamp the board, but not so tight as to cause damage. This is often done by distractedly climbing on the sides of cars beside busy highway, while chasing loose strap ends in the wind. On arrival, surfers need to deconstruct the assembly then re-assemble before departure. This is a slow, stressful, tedious and dangerous process.Remora solves all of this.

  • Remora solved the problem by making the bag the load-restraint.Four independent integrated attachment straps wrap around the roof bars and velcro back to the bag chassis. This way, the holding forces are carried through the bag rather than concentrated through the stress concentrations of ad-hoc webbing over the board. Our Compress-Capture-Rebound engineered cushioning uses tuned compression to create controlled strap tension without hard over-pulling.Hook-and-loop closures remove metal buckles from the roofline, while the anti-crush geometry supports fragile rails. Our original length-adjusting Roll-Tail adjusts to different board lengths, reducing loose fabric, giving different boards a cleaner aerodynamic fit.

  • The Velocity re-engineers surfboard transport to an integrated, repeatable system, reducing loose hardware, roadside handling, and the need to climb on vehicles or throw buckles over the roof. - Four independent attachments add redundancy- bag chassis protects boards from strap crushing and vehicle roofs from buckle damage. - Enables women, shorter individuals, and people with shoulder injuries to load boards more easily. - The stay-on workflow saves repeated setup time as the board can be removed and reinserted without untangling straps and associated processes.- Environmentally, Remora uses UV-stabilised marine-grade materials, and the pull-tight aerodynamic profile eliminates bag flutter, reducing energy consumption.

  • Integrated vehicle attachmentFour built-in straps secure the bag chassis directly to roof bars. Unlike two-loop legacy systems, the Velocity uses four independent load paths, reducing reliance on a single front or rear strap.Compress-Capture-Rebound tensioningThe user compresses tuned foam, fixes the strap length, then releases. The rebound creates controlled holding tension, vibration dampening and removes metal to board point loading without over-pulling and hard edges from cam buckles.Dock-once workflowThe bag can be docked to the vehicle in 90 seconds, board extracted in 10 seconds, remain on the car during the surf session, then the board reinserted in 20 seconds. It is also secured against opportunistic theft with lock loops.Anti-crush geometryAttachment forces are routed through the cover structure, while the board is cushioned inside the bag. This helps protect surfboard rails from point loading, hard bars and over-tightening.Variable Length Roll-TailThe adjustable tail shortens excess fabric around different board lengths, reducing bag flapping noise and the need for multiple board bags. Out with the longboard, slide in the mid-length tomorrow, without removing the bag.Marine-grade constructionUV-stabilised textiles and non-corrosive hardware are for salt, heat and coastal conditions.
