Tandem prams are defined by trade-offs, increasing capacity reduces usability, stability and manoeuvrability. This results in excessive width, restricted recline, poor newborn visibility, limited storage and degraded handling under load. These limitations persist because seats are positioned directly in front of one another within fixed geometries and shared pivot systems, preventing vertical spacing, stability and foldability from being resolved together. Competitors optimise one outcome at the expense of another, including load capacity, compactness, usability and support. NUVO² set out to resolve these conflicts through a new structural system delivering increased spacing, full functionality, high-load performance and foldability without compromise.

NUVO² introduces a re-engineered chassis and seating system that restructures how space, load and movement are managed. A new framework redistributes load to enable increased seat spacing, full recline and elevated bassinet positioning without increasing size or reducing stability. Key innovations include QuadGlide™ four-point suspension for control under 71kg load, an extendable seat back maintaining compactness, integrated airflow with structural support, a chassis approximately 40mm narrower than competitors, and folding with seats attached in all configurations. These outcomes required new engineering approaches and iterative validation. The result is a unified system that eliminates traditional tandem compromises.

NUVO² improves usability, lifecycle and category expectations. It reduces daily friction through improved manoeuvrability under load, intuitive configuration and maintained visibility of both children. It replaces multiple prams with one adaptable system, extending lifespan across years and children. Material demand is reduced through shared components across bassinet and seat, supported by OEKO-TEX certified and PFAS-free materials. At a category level, NUVO² demonstrates that compactness, full functionality and high-load performance can coexist, challenging the trade-offs that have historically defined tandem prams.
