The first and only clinically validated, 3D facial scanning solution that helps providers of CPAP masks (for sleep apnoea) fit 9 out of 10 patients with the right mask from the start. The proprietary Mask Selector algorithm offers a novel solution in the shift toward digitisation of healthcare, helping to improve business efficiencies.

  • The traditional mask fitting process can end up demanding significant time, money, inventory and labor from sleep labs and DMEs to engage their patients. Studies show that one in every three patients needs to be refitted for a mask after their sleep test, resulting in waste and non-compliance. With Mask Selector, clinicians used fewer masks when fitting patients at initial setup, helping to alleviate the demands and costs associated with traditional fittings, while adding a layer of personalization for the patient.

  • The Mask Selector is a tool for clinicians to scan a patients face and recommend a better fitting sleep apnea mask. It brings more trust and credibility to the mask fitting process by removing trial and error and bias. It improves workflow and set up time, allowing the clinician to spend more time with the patient. It takes a nascent technology and recommunicates it in a manner that is simple, intuitive and approachable both for the clinician and patient. As a tool, it feels familiar and understandable without losing its cutting edge technology that sits at its core.

  • 3D scanning innovations are being introduced into the mask-fitting process and supporting this drive towards greater inclusion in our diverse patient population, as well as reassurance, comfort and satisfaction. The technology, which allows for more sophisticated facial contour mapping, means that designers can better understand how their products interact with people's faces and account for differences in facial structure as a result of gender, ethnicity and other factors. When using Mask Selector, the risk of being re-fit for a different mask during the first 90 days was reduced by 36% - resulting in less waste from discarded products.

  • Philips Respironics Mask Selector 3D is the first and only 3D scanning software that helps you fit patients with one mask from initial setup. 1] Mask Selector 3D is an automated, personalized solution powered by a proprietary algorithm. It's built on data from over 10 years of facial-scanning research, representing a wide range of ethnicities and geographies. Traditional fitting methods - like manual sizing and measuring - may raise the risk of refits that can threaten patient adherence and your bottom line. But because Mask Selector 3D helps you determine the most personalized mask recommendation possible, you can feel more confident than ever that you're giving patients a uniquely personalized experience and helping to promote compliance from the start. 1] 1.
