  • MORE
  • The design challenge was to design a monitoring solution that is cost sensitive but still having all required features implemented. The solution should be backwards compatible and scalable, addressing various clinical workflows from low to high acuity as well as both transport and stationary workflows. The design of the monitors should be intuitive, rugged, easy to clean, to service and maintain and supporting all training levels of the users as well as a long, sustainable lifecycle. The design language of the Patient Monitor 6000 series should match with the existing Philips design identity.

  • The unique design approach of the Patient Monitor 6000 series made it possible to re-use the majority of components across this entire monitoring platform. This improves maintenance, sustainability, longevity and reduces cost for the hospitals. Different monitor sizes in combination with scalable measurement configurations are addressing the various clinical workflows. The design language with a dark UI zone allows the users to focus and quickly access important patient data. The monolithic design with its flush surfaces, minimum of parting lines as well as the execution of materials and finishes makes the device rugged, easy to clean and long-living.

  • The Patient Monitor 6000 series consumes approximately 20% less energy than comparable Philips patient monitors. The materials are chosen to withstand the harsh clinical environment and extend the products’ lifecycle. The rugged and monolithic design, with a minimum of parting lines contributes to its longevity. The 6000 series is one flexible, scalable solution that is aiming to meet the user’s needs and to decrease the hospitals need to invest in numerous different devices. This improves the ecology and access to care. The intuitive, simple and rugged design helps to release the burden of the users in their stressful everyday work.

  • The intuitive, simple and rugged design is easy to service and maintain. The design contributes to the monitors longevity, ecological footprint and helps to lessen the burden of the users in their pressured daily routine. The two monitor sizes of 10” and 15” easily serve the monitoring needs of various clinical environments like ICU, General Ward, OR, SpotCheck and more - transitioning from low to high acuity and back. The monitor is equipped with a full HD display, with state-of-the art multi-touch technology, enabling intuitive navigation and gesture control. The flush and sealed glass front makes the device easy to clean and disinfect. Each monitor has a handle that is fully integrated into the monolithic design of the monitor, having no exposed elements that might get damaged. The handle facilitates the caregiver to securely transport or dock/undock the monitor during his daily tasks. Improved infection control, cleanability and ruggedness is enabled through the smart execution of materials & finishes, using highly resistant Valox357x in combination with a flush glass front, smooth surfaces and a minimum of parting lines. The optional docking interface on the backside of the monitor enables an easy connection of 3rd party devices to the monitor.
