A key challenge was balancing refined decorative detailing with standardised engineering requirements. This was resolved through iterative prototyping of plate profiles, finishes, and mechanisms. The final solution features a slim 6.1mm profile, reinforced construction, and compatibility with standard Australian wall boxes, enabling seamless retrofit. Ongoing installer feedback informed practical improvements, including larger terminals and easy-fit screw covers for efficient installation.
