The design challenge was to eliminate the typical vertical motor architecture found on most pontoon boats obstructing the view and the functionality of the rear platform. BRP also wanted to break away from the sea of sameness with a more distinctive design semantic.

This boat is built on innovation, starting with the horizontally designed Rotax S outboard engine partially submerged underwater, hidden under the boat, the consumer has the same advantages of a traditional outboard with no line of sight obstruction, much more usable space, low noise and reduced vibration. The Max Deck offers abundant space and versatile configurations. The flip-back chairs and three-in-one bench seats make the layout flexible, the goal being to keep the right balance between functionality and elegance. All of these benefits, offered in a distinctive and timeless design.

The Manitou Explore combines design thinking and rigorous engineering to create an industry-first Max Deck platform, enabling the transom to better fit consumer needs. The rear platform adds several additional functional square feet while allowing better visibility at motion and at rest.
