Looplock is the world’s first deployable roll-top seal for everyday packaging. Designed and manufactured in Sydney from a shape-memory polymer, it brings the most trusted closure in the outdoor industry to any flexible bag. It creates a hermetic seal, fits in a cutlery drawer, and lasts a lifetime.

  • Flexible packaging works perfectly on the shelf. The moment a consumer opens it, it stops working. Chips go stale. Coffee loses aroma. Frozen vegetables suffer freezer burn. Existing solutions: pegs, clips, rubber bands, pinch packaging closed but fail to create a hermetic seal. Air and moisture still get in. Consumers who decant into rigid containers lose the expiry dates, labels, and nutritional information printed on the original bag, and fill their kitchens with half-empty containers. The outdoor industry solved airtight closure decades ago with the roll-top seal, but that mechanism has always been coupled to the bag.

  • Looplock decouples the roll-top seal from the bag. The user rolls any flexible package over the strip, loops the ends together, and locks it shut with an audible and tactile click that confirms the seal is engaged and is air and watertight. Early prototypes used a buckle mechanism inherited from outdoor dry bags. The defining design decision was stripping that back to a single hook closure: fewer parts, lower cost, zero cognitive load. The material: an engineering-grade shape-memory polymer, resets to perfectly straight in hot water or the dishwasher after extended deployment. One simple tool, any bag.

  • Looplock extends the usable life of perishable foods by creating a reliable seal on their original packaging, directly reducing household food waste and grocery costs. It eliminates the need for resealable bags, cling wrap, and rigid containers, reducing single-use plastic consumption while keeping labels, expiry dates, and brand information visible. The product is made from a non-toxic, food-safe, recyclable polymer and is designed for indefinite reuse with zero consumable parts. Every unit is designed and manufactured in Sydney, supporting local manufacturing. The best bit is that it costs less than the first bag of coffee it will save.

  • The roll-top seal has been the gold standard for waterproof closure in the outdoor industry for decades. Looplock translates that proven mechanism into a simple strip that works on any flexible bag up to 22 cm wide, from coffee and cereal to frozen vegetables and pet food.An audible click confirms when the seal is engaged, giving users immediate confidence without guesswork. This sensory feedback was a deliberate design choice, addressing the uncertainty that undermines every clip and peg on the market. The shape-memory polymer is core to the product's promise. After extended deployment on a bag, the strip returns to its original straight form in the dishwasher or warm water. This ensures the product performs identically on day one and day one thousand.Unlike containers that obscure or require discarding original packaging, Looplock preserves labels, nutritional information, and expiry dates throughout the product's life. The packaging shrinks as contents reduce, saving space rather than filling it.There are no consumable parts, no batteries, and no degradable seals. Looplock is a one-time investment that replaces an endless cycle of disposable alternatives.Looplock is designed and manufactured locally in Sydney, Australia.
