The challenge was to evolve the world’s most awarded fully automatic coffee machine while responding to shifting consumer expectations in Australia’s premium coffee category. As demand grows for café-quality coffee at home, JURA needed to expand beverage variety, including cold brew and ready-to-drink options, while maintaining simplicity, durability and intuitive use. The brief required integrating advanced technologies including the Coffee Timer and Caffeine Regulator without adding complexity, and designing an interface capable of navigating 51 specialities. The product also needed to uphold JURA’s commitment to longevity, serviceability and timeless design in a market driven by performance and ease of use.

The Z10 2nd Generation responds by combining advanced engineering with intuitive design to deliver complexity without compromise. Building on its original 2021 breakthrough in cold brew technology, JURA refined the platform to introduce four colour-coded coffee worlds, simplifying navigation across 51 specialities. Key innovations: - Coffee Timer- Caffeine Regulator- P.R.G.2+ grinder All integrated into a streamlined touchscreen interface to enhance personalisation without adding friction. A major design focus was balancing expanded functionality with ease of use, achieved through swipe navigation, Easy Mode and user profiles. The result is a seamless, future-ready coffee experience engineered for performance, longevity and everyday enjoyment.
