  • The ‘Open for More’ brief for Santa Fe called for a robust and roomy body, designed to facilitate a convenient lifestyle focused on outdoor activities. It needed to feature progressive powertrains and incorporate eco-friendly materials in line with Hyundai’s technological capability and commitment to developing sustainable mobility solutions. The fifth-generation Santa Fe needed to build on the nameplate’s popularity by over-delivering on user experience through innovative safety, connectivity and convenience technologies. Finally, Santa Fe had to offer a compelling and accessible package with a high level of design appeal and equipment to stay at the forefront of an ever-evolving segment.

  • Santa Fe arrowed the design brief with a new, squared-off design featuring a long wheelbase, flat roof and wide tailgate opening, to provide ample space to support an outdoor lifestyle. It supersedes the diesel with efficient 1.6 turbo hybrid powertrain, and adopts sustainable materials in its interior and paints, to achieve sustainability targets. Santa Fe advances the UX with countless innovations, including its segment-first Bilateral Multi-Console storage space and UV-C Sterilisation Tray designed to eliminate bacteria from phones and personal items. With standout styling and expanded versatility and value, Santa Fe continues to give families a compelling large SUV.

  • Santa Fe’s newly utilitarian styling marks a dramatic departure to make an impact as an inspiring example of industrial design. Guided by Hyundai’s ‘Open for More’ concept, Santa Fe introduces a roomy and flexible cabin, a large cargo area and a wide tailgate, to facilitate the gear-intensive outdoor activities popular among the millennial and Gen-X target market. Advancing the UX are segment-first innovations such as Santa Fe’s Bilateral Multi-Console storage space and UV-C Sterilisation Tray. Cleaner 1.6L turbo petrol hybrid powertrain complements eco-friendly materials, underlining Hyundai’s position as a leader in sustainable mobility.

  • New fifth-generation Santa Fe is available in three trim grades – Santa Fe, Elite and Calligraphy – with a choice of front- and all-wheel drive 1.6L turbo petrol hybrid powertrains. Santa Fe has seven seats standard with a six-seater option for flagship Calligraphy. Headline features include: • A new 172kW, 367Nm 1.6T-GDi hybrid powertrain with a 44.2 kW high-efficiency electric motor, 1.49 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery, and 6-speed automatic. • Convenience and luxury features such as standard Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®, third-row USB ports and Bose® 12-speaker sound. • UV-C Sterilisation Tray, located on top of the passenger glove compartment, allows for easy sterilisation of frequently used items, such as cell phones and wallets, promoting cleanliness and hygiene within the vehicle. An extensive SmartSense safety suite includes new and second-generation tech such as: • Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control 2, which helps maintain a safe speed while taking curves on a motorway. • Highway Driving Assist 2, which helps maintain a set speed and distance from the vehicle ahead on a motorway, and assists with lane changes and lane centring. • Driver Monitoring System (DMS), which analyses the driver’s vital signs to ensure safe driving, including tracking eye gaze using an infrared camera.
