  • The brief for IONIQ 9 called for a revolutionary electric family SUV design headlined by visual innovation and maximum space utilisation, delivering the maximum legroom, headroom and cargo space in the class. It had to apply leading-edge battery-electric technology to deliver a premium EV experience while addressing the pain points of range and charging speed. IONIQ 9 also had to be intuitive and practical through advanced convenience and safety technologies. As the electric flagship from a brand at the forefront of sustainable mobility, IONIQ 9 had to make a strong impact to drive the growth of Hyundai and of EVs.

  • Futuristic IONIQ 9 squarely hits the brief by maximising space and utility with a flat floor, world-first bi-directional sliding console, and the option of relaxation seats. With an underfloor 110.3kWh battery, IONIQ 9 eliminates EV pain points with up to 620km of range and 24-minute ultra-fast-charging, while presenting innovative EV routing and energy usage insights on a futuristic panoramic curved display. IONIQ 9 is packed with leading-edge SmartSense safety and driver assistance technologies. It advances the user experience with innovations such as 100W high-output USB outlets, generative AI voice recognition, and an array of Bluelink Connected Car Services.

  • IONIQ 9 makes a positive impact on EV customers with its 620km range and capability for ultra-fast-charging from 10 to 80 percent in 24 minutes. It contributes positively to the physical and emotional wellbeing of occupants with a spacious and imaginative interior design featuring highly configurable seating. An array of SmartSense safety and Bluelink Connected Services tech, and Over-The-Air update capability set a new UX benchmark in IONIQ 9. IONIQ 9 makes a striking visual impact to underscore the Hyundai’s position at the forefront of sustainable mobility technology, as it continues on a path to being carbon neutral by 2045.

  • The Hyundai IONIQ 9 is Hyundai’s flagship three-row electric SUV. IONIQ 9 features a pair of 160kW, 350Nm electric motors to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.2sec and from 80-120 km/h in 3.4sec. IONIQ 9 is powered by a 110.3 kWh long-range lithium-ion battery. IONIQ 9 measures 5,060mm long, 1980mm wide and 1,790mm high with a 3,130mm wheelbase, and can tow 2,500kg (AWD). The third row is roomy enough for adults – there is 1,008mm of headroom, compared with roomy Hyundai Palisade’s 944mm. The 620L luggage capacity is up substantially on the capacious Hyundai Palisade’s 509L. With the third row folded IONIQ 9 can hold 1,323L. A front boot holds 52L. All three IONIQ 9 trim grades feature extensive Bluelink Connected Car Services and SmartSense safety technology. IONIQ 9’s chassis delivers an optimal balance of body control, secure handling and comfort, with self-leveling dampers and a dynamic torque vectoring system. Hot-stamped components in IONIQ 9 – 29 percent more than in a Tesla Model Y – bring immense torsional stiffness and tensile strength.
