The i30 Fastback N was developed from the same generation Hyundai i30 platform that underpins the scorching i30 N hatchback, with the aim to deftly balance the driver thrills and involvement with everyday practicality in an eye-catching five-door coupe exterior. The i30 Fastback N needs to be physically appealing yet affordable and needs to be able to handle tackling a track day, yet be equally at home on a twisty country road, or a spirited drive to the shops.

The i30 Fastback N was developed according to the “form follows function” principle. Designers worked closely with aerodynamics specialists to define the right ratio between the car’s downforce, drag and aerodynamics to create the best possible driving experience. The hot five-door coupe is lower and longer with its striking silhouette and sporty stance. As a result, the i30 Fastback N slices through the air at speed. The i30 Fastback N combines the sophisticated and elegant design of the i30 Fastback with the exhilarating fun-to-drive factor of the i30 N hatchback.

Now, the i30 Fastback N joins as the second vehicle in our N series, to give driving enthusiasts the choice of a uniquely sleek and sophisticated high-performance, five-door coupe. Beneath the classy silhouette, which brings a seven percent aerodynamic drag reduction compared with the hatch, the i30 Fastback N boasts a new, N suspension tune teamed with the high-performance qualities of its hatch sibling, including a 202kW, 353Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine. An all-round performer, the i30 Fastback N offers 1,944 permutations of driver-selectable chassis and drivetrain options, allowing it to be tailored to the driver and conditions - playing the practical, comfortable and economical daily drive or the fire-breathing, focused high-performance car at the press of a button. Standard i30 Fastback N features include an active variable exhaust system, electronically controlled adaptive suspension, an electro-mechanical limited-slip differential, and a launch control function. An overboost capability lifts torque output to 378Nm at full throttle for up to 18 seconds. Styling highlights include 19-inch alloy wheels fitted with specially developed Pirelli P-Zero HN tyres, and an aerodynamically functional full body kit. The sports theme is carried over to the interior, which includes sports front seats, a leather-appointed steering wheel, alloy sports pedals, N race computer and instrument panel-mounted shift lights.
