HP Reverb G2 Omnicept Edition VR Headset

Building on the success of the HP Reverb VR Headset, HP Design was tasked to evolve and refine the headset experience to add value to the HP VR product portfolio. As the nascent VR market is rapidly evolving, our customers demand the highest quality experience at an affordable price. The design team wanted to make sure the HP product line was at the forefront of this competitive market. With specific focus on enhanced optics, immersive sound, and ease-of-use for our enterprise and consumer users, we aimed for the next level of immersion and comfort for longer use time in VR.

It uses that data with machine learning to understand how much "brain power" a person is using on their tasks. When a person is training, it's possible to know how easy or difficult it is for them. Developers can understand a trainee's performance and ability to make decisions, help reduce stress, improve comfort and assist breakthroughs. It's possible to understand a user's well-being. Through the use of the sensors, developers track user engagement and gauge user responses at any moment. With the face camera, developers can deliver avatars with authentic facial expressions, for collaboration and a personal, emotional connection.

HP views VR as a means to strengthen the social interaction between people. As society adjusts to emerging realities like working from home, social distancing, and video-conferencing instead of in-person business meetings, the Reverb G2 is set to advance the emergence of social VR, collaborative online working, and immersive new content creation for the future. The HP Reverb G2 Omnicept headset is designed for longevity with materials that will hold up to repeated use, cleaning, and remain compatible as the technology of the Windows PC continues to advance.

Reverb G2 uses a combination of raw ABS, with and without water-based paints on them. It is able to be cleaned with normal sanitizing wipes.
