The HP Chromebase All-in-One is HP’s vision of what an affordable, convenient home computer can be. Designed for multiple users, to be placed in a communal location, it blurs the Iines between smart speaker, sit-down computer and voice computing.

  • MORE
  • Historically, computers are sit-down devices, used for tasks that demand your whole attention. What we've come to see is that there's a range of more casual, voice computing tasks that are voice-driven, and merge seamlessly into the flow of life while doing other tasks. The computer isn't the end goal, it's a tool or aid mixed in as a part of doing other things.

  • HP Design used primary geometric shapes, the rectangle and the cone, to arrive at an all-in-one that fits in any interior decor, without drawing attention to itself. The cone base is wide enough to not tip over, but small enough to help the device fit in a range of settings, whether desk, table, kitchen counter, or shelf. The display rotates from landscape to portrait, so that people can use the long screen for reading, writing, or even split screen, putting zoom on one half and content on the other. And, it's a first-class voice-computing device.

  • There are a lot of benefits to ChromeOS: easy to setup, fast startup, low maintenance requirements, instant access to apps, and they're voice-driven. They deserve an all-in-one computer that is as low-impact on the desk. The computer can be used without the keyboard, by touch and voice. It fits in locations where you may not have a chair or space for the keyboard and mouse to be always out. Many of the devices we use today use a portrait orientation: our phones, smart watches, and it makes sense to offer an All-in-one that can rotate the display to portrait.

  • The HP Chromebase All-in-one has a touchscreen for casual gestures. It has microphones for voice computing, and also runs Android apps. HP Chromebase is perfect for what we think of as always-ready, casual computing, with a display large enough to see from across the room.
