The brief was to develop a user-friendly, stable and durable eFoil that enabled beginners to learn in just minutes. The design needed to overcome barriers to entry making ease of use and stability a priority, whilst also being able to cater to them as their skills improve.

Flitescooter encourages more people to get on the water by providing them with 4 points of contact and a less aggressive, forward facing stance to gain their confidence, then grows with them as their confidence grows. Accessibility is key with the inflatable bladder creating a softer, safer, buoyant and more fall-friendly experience that inspires confidence throughout the learning curve.

Flitescooter has revolutionised the watersports industry by offering eFoiling as an approachable and mainstream recreational activity. Its innovative design makes eFoiling accessible to a broader audience, regardless of skill level. By prioritising user-friendly features and stability, Flitescooter empowers beginners to quickly and safely learn, while still offering more advanced capabilities for when their experience improves. Yacht owners can use Flitescooter as a tender to get to and from the dock, while it also serves as an ideal learning tool for Fliteschools, charter boats, friends and families. Its inflatable construction enhances versatility further, enabling easy transport, storage and sharing among riders.

Flitescooter introduces a raft of innovative new safety features. These include the wireless Safety Key which automatically shuts off the motor in the event of a fall, as well as Flite Jet and the specifically designed new Fly Zones functionality which allows riders to geofence the area in which Flitescooter will operate (a feature that has subsequently been adapted across our other Flite products). Flite Jet (the world’s most compact and hydrodynamically efficient eFoil jet) facilitates smooth riding as well as improving safety and rider confidence thanks to a completely enclosed impeller. A detachable bluetooth display fits neatly into the top of the handlebars, then converts to an intuitive hand controller when the handlebars are removed. Flitescooter’s revolutionary construction combines a rigid foam-core platform for a steady and responsive ride, with a reinforced inflatable outer section that helps keep weight down and durability up. The use of softer materials and colours along with a forgivingly large platform with handlebars for added stability and security, all help inspire confidence, opening up eFoiling to a previously uncatered-to group. People who are traditionally less confident of eFoiling and getting out on the water in general, can now just step on and go.
