Flite x Marc Newson Range

In the world of eFoils, weight and form have an outsized influence on how the product behaves in the water. The Flite x Marc Newson range is an exercise in reduction via innovation. How much could we strip away to create a range of eFoils in their purest, lightest and most hydrodynamic form.

Inspired by the Aerospace industry where strength and weight sensitivity are critical, the range is constructed almost entirely from state of the art Japanese High Modulus Pre Preg (HMPP) carbon fibre. This was a first for the eFoiling industry and allowed us to create a beautiful, streamlined board, connected to a revolutionary monobloc structure of mast, fuselage and tail in what is the world’s lightest production performance eFoil system.

The Flite x Marc Newson range has become the benchmark in the eFoil industry, introducing new materials and production techniques that have pushed the limits of design, innovation and performance. Introducing high calibre design in this way has had a knock on effect on the industry, reimagining what is possible at the intersection of art and science.

The revolutionary monobloc eFoil design sees an impossibly thin, 16mm tapered mast connect the board to a sleek 46mm fuselage in an exquisite single flowing form without joints or bolts for greater hydrodynamic efficiency and agility. Inside the fuselage is Flite’s own specially designed motor - the smallest, lowest drag propulsion system on the market. Further increasing performance is an innovative titanium conical interface, giving access to a whole new range of wings. The design is flush-mounted onto the fuselage to create a seamless, sleek profile that optimises water flow around the foil. This drastically reduces drag while increasing lift, allowing riders to achieve a smoother, faster, and more energy-efficient ride than ever before. Above the water the board shape is narrower than existing boards with less surface resistance. The carbon fibre body is left unadorned to shave even more weight while highlighting the quality of the material and refinement of the manufacturing. A redesigned deck grip featuring a natural voronoi pattern reflects the eFoils’ aquatic environment. A new simplified battery release mechanism was also designed along with a more ergonomic and intuitive hand controller with a bigger, brighter screen, which is easy to read on even the sunniest of days.
