Fire Dance BBQ

Majority of built in BBQs on the market are trolley BBQs that are converted to built in. Many have screwed on flanges or a built in kit. This often resulted in the BBQs looking out of place with large gaps underneath and behind the BBQ. BBQs that had been designed to be built in quite often looked nice but were terrible to cook with and difficult to clean. For Fire Dance the challenge was to make a new style of BBQ that fitted seamlessly into its surrounds all while looking beautiful and highly functioning.

Fire dance in collaboration with our design and manufacturing partner Sunstone began the journey looking at a standard built in BBQ then sought to go through every element and change and evolve into the best BBQ we could make.Working from the hood down, sizing, efficiency, depth and volume of cooking box, materials for burners and cooking grates and the look of the facade. Impotus was also placed on ability to clean, removable parts for repair and/or servicing. Every facet was analysed and improved all while ensuring compliance of the stringent gas and heat testing for the Australian market.

The Fire Dance transforms the the Outdoor kitchen into the alfresco centerpiece. Crafted from 100% recyclable 304-grade stainless steel, its deep-firebox maximizes fuel efficiency and heat retention for professional-grade cooking. By featuring readily replaceable parts and simple video guides, the design actively defeats planned obsolescence so common in many of todays appliances. Timed for Australia’s 500,000-unit annual and growing market, the Fire Dance capitalises on the luxury built-in alfresco trend. It serves as a new industry standard, proving that premium, sustainable industrial design is fundamental to the modern outdoor living—benefiting business performance, the customer, and the environment.
