  • Adventure Motorcycling has been one the fastest growing segments in both the international and Australian motorcycle community. Adventure riding requires motorcycles to be equiped for any and all environments, as well as lengthy trips off the beaten road. This creates an enormous challenge for an electric motorcycle to compete in such a space. Along with the obvious requirements for long range riding, adventure motorcycles also need to provide the rider with increased low speed manoeuvrability and methodical weight distribution, all while still providing enough power and torque for highway-speeds- combining extremely challenging to capture in traditionally heavy EV.

  • Energica's Experia electric motorcycle incorporates MotoE racing technology and design, resulting in the largest consumer motorcycle battery capacity of 22.5 kWh and DC Fast Charging capabilities. The new Permanent Magnets Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor (PMASynRM) motor, positioned lower and lighter, and improved weight distribution enhance the bike's technical control in mixed terrains, while maintaining high-end speed, torque, and performance.

  • The outcome of this design and commercialisation of the world's first "green touring" motorcycle has a profound effect in both the private and public sector. In addition to being highly sought after in the private community due to it's competition with high end ICE Adventure motorcycles, the Experia is the first model that can meet the needs for government fleets. Optimised for long-range, with aerodynamic sport-touring fairing, it's brand new electric powertrain and battery enables law enforcement, EMS and other civil fleet motorcycle programs to travel greater distances and recharge faster with the power their jobs demand.

  • Energica has said the technology exists to enable bi-directional charging from it's batteries. While some other EVs offer this, the Energica would allow you to access this technology at a lower price point than the average EV may cost you. For example, at about $14k, a Tesla power wall only holds 13.5 kWh or $1073/kWh (not including installation costs or solar). Whereas the Experia at $43k (ex GST) with 22.5 kWh battery offers $1,911/kWh, allowing you the best of both worlds in terms of a green vehicle and a home battery.
