Peripheral Connectivity The app has been specifically designed for use with a range of Blackmagic and third party peripherals, allowing precise, tactile control of parameters and settings. Utilizing the Blackmagic Speed Editor, footage can be quickly reviewed, added to timelines, and assembled into final edits. Colour grading using Blackmagic’s Micro Colour Panel allows fluid, hands on adjustment of multiple parameters simultaneously, achieving quick and accurate grades. The Apple Pencil employs multi-touch capability for intuitive, precise adjustments, particularly useful when colour grading. Cloud Ecosystem Projects and source clips can be stored safely on Blackmagic cloud. Syncing projects between locations, devices, and users, is done with a single click, facilitating efficient, real-time collaboration, as well as faster project turnarounds. Proxy Workflow Cognizant of the inherent limitations of mobile devices, and the challenges of transferring very large files, lower resolution video files known as proxies can be created within the app. These proxies can then be used in place of high-resolution footage during editing. This makes for easier sharing of media over network and cloud storage, thereby supporting collaborative and remote workflows. Furthermore, the proxy workflow benefits the entire post-production process with smoother playback, faster rendering time, and reduced strain on system resources.
