The Corvette E-Ray is the first electrified, all-wheel-drive Corvette offered in Australia – a hybrid supercar that pairs a mid‑mounted V8 with a front electric motor. It has been engineered as a car owners can drive every day, preserving classic Corvette design while adding modern usability and efficiency.

  • Australian supercar buyers want dramatic design and V8 drama, but they also live with speed limits, speed bumps, wet weather and long-distance touring. Many own multiple cars because traditional exotics are too compromised in ride comfort, visibility and luggage space for daily use. The challenge was to electrify Corvette without losing its core DNA, and to create a hybrid, all‑wheel‑drive coupe that still looks unmistakeably like a Corvette while genuinely working as an everyday car for Australian roads, from inner‑city commutes to weekend trips to Bathurst and the coast.

  • E-Ray combines a 6.2‑litre LT2 V8 driving the rear axle with a 119 kW front electric motor and e‑AWD, delivering 488 kW and 806 Nm with instant response and secure traction in all seasons. The layout preserves the mid‑engine proportions, low bonnet and wide haunches that define modern Corvette. Everyday usability is built in: factory right‑hand‑drive, a removable roof, front lift suspension system with GPS with memory, cameras front and rear, useful luggage compartments (front and rear) and a cabin centred on intuitive screens, physical controls and comfortable GT2 Nappa leather seats.

  • For Australian owners, E-Ray makes it realistic to own one car that is both a track‑capable supercar and a refined daily driver. Hybrid e‑AWD improves traction on wet city streets and country roads, reduces fatigue and builds driver confidence, while Stealth Mode enables quiet, electric‑only departures in suburban environments. Combined fuel use of around 11.5 L/100 km is lower than a comparable V8 supercar, helping reduce emissions and running costs without sacrificing emotion. Commercially, E-Ray broadens Corvette’s appeal beyond traditional track‑focused buyers and reinforces its status as an evolving design icon.

  • E-Ray retains the sculpted mid‑engine silhouette, low cowl and dramatic rear haunches that signal “Corvette” from any angle, enhanced by wider bodywork, standard ground effects and a distinctive E‑Ray badge and wheel design. A compact nose improves visibility and parking confidence, while short overhangs and the front lift system help clear steep Australian driveways and ramps.Inside, a driver‑centric cockpit wraps around a bolstered GT2 seat, with a configurable 12‑inch instrument display, central touchscreen and auxiliary screen angled towards the driver. Climate, volume and drive modes are controlled by physical switches, supporting eyes‑up operation. Nappa leather, sueded microfibre and carbon‑fibre trim create a premium but durable environment. The hybrid system is tuned for flexibility rather than plug‑in range. Stealth Mode provides approximately 4–6 km of quiet electric driving up to 72 km/h, ideal for early‑morning departures, while regeneration and Charge+ mode top up the 1.9 kWh battery on the move. Standard carbon‑ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S ZP tyres, Magnetic Ride Control and Performance Data Recorder together make it easy for owners to enjoy track days and then drive home comfortably in Tour mode.
