The challenge was to imagine a cooking design solution that could fit into everyday life - to save time and delegate cooking tasks, allowing you more time for family and leisure. The aim was to create an innovative product that would be capable of guiding and inspiring you to revolutionise the way you cook at home every day. We wanted to offer a product that would allow even the most time-poor consumers the opportunity to enjoy homecooked meals, allowing them to create nutritious and delicious meals without any stress at all, looking after themselves and their family with endless cooking inspiration.

The design intention of Cook4me touch is to reshape the customer journey to provide a cooking experience that makes a real difference. It answers the everyday question "what am I going to cook tonight?", merging an intuitive functionality with a sleek, contemporary product design that achieves a synergy between physical and digital interaction. The result is an inviting appliance that makes the user want to touch and interact with it. The design solution is a smart connected offering that becomes the epitome of what a kitchen assistant should be - making the preparation of homemade meals easier, faster and healthier.

With a holistic design process, Cook4me touch embodies the brand and customer promises we hold at Tefal. The integrated and swiveling touch screen interface in the product offers a unique user experience, with an intuitive, contextual and enjoyable interaction. The smartphone app provides unlimited inspiration, while also allowing users to curate their favorite recipes. Cook4me touch establishes a new cooking category that not only aligns with contemporary daily living, but enhances it. The design encourages a cooking lifestyle that is respectful of good health, providing the ability to cook homemade recipes regardless of time constraints or lack of cooking skills.
