  • To design and manufacture a simple to install, compact toilet system that suits the unique nature of the tiny house market with lower underfloor clearance but also enabling ease of servicing and maintenance. We consulted with Tiny Homes Builders and users to check on their criteria for a tailor-made waterless toilet to fit their needs. Due to the low clearance, providing an adequate composting volume for 2 or more full-time users becomes difficult with standard collection chambers as the compost pile forms a ‘cone’ shaped pile beneath the pedestal reducing the usable volume.

  • The CM LP was designed with a wider diameter composting chamber but only 450mm max height. To overcome the pile ‘cone’ effect in the chamber, a compost mixer was incorporated to knock down the ‘cone’ and distribute the compost pile. A 30% increase in usable volume was achieved by incorporating the rake with the added benefit of improved composting. The axis of the mixer had to be vertical and not interfere with the chute drop zone but be operational from a comfortable position. The result is an ergonomic standing position that can be maintained while mixing the compost.

  • The CM LP has closed the gap in the market for a split unit that can be installed under dwellings having a limited height and space and be maintainable by users with relative ease. It is an off-grid system with a wide range of applications ranging from domestic installations to commercial tourism operations. From an environmental perspective composting toilets use an aerobic process to convert human waste to usable safe compost material as well as requiring no water or power and only the addition of bulking agent. The end result is a nutrient-rich resource that can be re-used on gardens.

  • Some of our new design features on the CM LP include detachable wheels for better mobility. The latest generation compost mixer with easy rotating crank handle will accelerate the composting process and increase the usable space to extend the chamber changeover requirement. The UV Stabilised LDPE material chamber comes with double-wall construction, designed to minimize the temperature fluctuations, especially during the seasonal changes, and to optimise the composting process. The chambers have been packaged with our premium porcelain pedestal which has an elegant modern design suitable for Tiny Homes designed for high-end accommodation. This model has been designed by our inhouse engineer and keen environmentalist, Peter Vollert. Our newest model has attained great interest and positive feedback from our customers based on its sustainability as a product that gives back to environment as well as being made from 95% recyclable materials. Our CM LP is built to last and comes with a 10-year warranty. It has been tested and certified to Australian and New Zealand Standards 1546.2 for waterless composting toilets.
