BRICKS

The BRICKS collection intent was to capture the understated elegance of traditional Australian house bricks using glass luminaires. We were inspired by the unique blend of earthy elements in these bricks and saw an opportunity to showcase their timeless form in a new way. Surprisingly, a small amount had previously attempted to replicate this iconic form using glass, but we saw this as a challenge and utilized our expertise to produce the BRICKS collection. We believe that our collection is a testament to the versatility of design and the beauty that can be found in unexpected sources of inspiration.

Using a slow poured glass casting method, which involved pouring molten glass into a textured mould at a slow pace, allowing the glass to settle and fill the mould evenly. This process was specifically chosen to replicate the texture of bricks and to capture their unique blend of materiality. Each piece in the collection is unique due to this slow pouring method, which ensures that natural imperfections of the mould are captured in the final product. This attention to detail results in a stunning visual and tactile representation of a brick, with each piece possessing its own character and personality.

collection has successfully integrated into the Australian interior design scene by staying true to its source of inspiration while exhibiting a minimalistic aesthetic that highlights its imperfect details. To enhance their functionality, we incorporated a dimmable LED light source and custom finishes to provide a range of lighting options to suit any interior. The result is a versatile and elegant collection that can be tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each individual customer.
