Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K is designed to meet the demands of any high end production. With a compact, lightweight and balanced camera body and a full frame open gate 12K image sensor, it is the first digital film camera with ultra-fast high capacity Cloud Store technology built in. The removable Blackmagic Media Module is fast, rugged and includes a massive 8TB of storage, allowing users to record at the highest resolutions and frame rates for over four hours while accessing files directly over high speed 10G Ethernet.

Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K has the potential to have a transformative effect on the way film and episodic television serials are produced. While massive, uncompressed video files are recorded directly to the on-board media module, H.264 proxy files are produced in parallel that can be sent directly to Blackmagic Cloud in seconds meaning remote studios, on-set editors and colour graders all have real-time access to footage the instant it is shot. This represents a revolutionary shift: a non-linear and more collaborative workflow that greatly accelerates timelines and enhances the creative process in a way that has never before been possible.

Most high-end film productions usually require large crews, with each camera controlled by several operators simultaneously.
