Most premium single prams still suffer from the same usability frustrations: complicated folding systems, needing to remove components before folding, bulky bassinets occupying valuable boot space, and heavy frames compromising everyday usability.The brief for Alto was to rethink the single pram from the ground up, solving these issues while maintaining a lightweight, compact and premium product.A major challenge was achieving a compact fold in bassinet mode while keeping the pram below 11kg and retaining the comfort, durability and functionality parents expect. Balancing structural strength, intuitive usability and refined aesthetics required significant engineering and material innovation.

Alto was developed over six years through extensive Australian parent insight, European engineering expertise and continual real-world testing.At the centre of the solution is Alto’s innovative folding architecture, allowing the pram to fold regardless of configuration, including in bassinet mode. This dramatically simplifies folding while reducing the folded size for easier storage and transport.Another key breakthrough was the development of a next-generation wheel material (eTPU) delivering the cushioning and ride comfort of air tyres while remaining lighter than ever, puncture-proof and virtually indestructible. Continuous prototyping and user testing ensured every interaction remained intuitive, effortless and highly functional.
