Doric Paraflow Dual Blade Louvre System takes the airflow advantages of a louvre window and adds a second row of glass to create a thermal barrier. This significantly reduces heat-transfer while improving wind, water, and acoustic performance. Paraflow’s smart home functionality automatically reacts to changing weather and reduces energy consumption.

  • Traditional louvre systems commonly suffer from poor energy, wind, and water performance compared to compression seal windows that are required for seven-star housing. Using an Integrated Glass Unit (IGU) adds cost and introduces visible black borders that reduce clarity and detract from the overall appearance. Their one-way glass installation makes glass replacement difficult, often breaking clips and complicating maintenance or cleaning. When clips fail, the entire louvre gallery frequently needs removal, risking permanent damage and requiring full replacement.

  • Doric Paraflow Dual Blade Louvre System delivers a high‑performance, visually superior louvre system using dual glass banks. Its 35mm air gap three times that of a standard IGU cuts heat transfer by 50% (U‑value 2.8) and provides strong acoustic performance reducing external noise by 32db (32Rw), twice the audible noise reduction of a standard louvre, making it suitable for busy roads and urban environments. Water resistance improves by 50% (450Pa), enabling use in storms and cyclonic regions. The two‑part clip system allows glass to slide in and lock securely without complex hardware, while standard louvre glass reduces weight, cost, and sightlines for a cleaner aesthetic.

  • Doric Paraflow Dual Blade Louvre System's strong thermal and weather performance allows it to be used in applications where traditional louvres cannot, improving ventilation and overall energy efficiency. When open, it provides full ventilation, and when closed, it delivers high thermal performance. The system can scale up to 21 blades (3017 mm high) and be fully automated, offering greater design flexibility than single-blade louvres, which are limited to 2420 mm in height. This enables openings to reach ceiling levels more easily, reducing trapped hot air in modern homes.

  • Customised performance: Our twin blade clip design means that customers can mix different types of glass to improve performance depending on individual requirements. For example, the outside blades could be acoustic glass and inside could be toughened or laminated for best acoustic performance.High Wind, Water, Energy & Acoustic Performance: The larger 35mm air pocket between the glass blades and double seal help to improve thermal, wind and water as well as acoustic performance. Paraflow has been engineered to meet AS2047, AS4420.5, AS4420.6 Wind & Water Testing, and achieved 32rw in acoustic testing.Accepts standard louvre glass: Fabricators can use the exact same glass used on existing 152mm single blade louvre systems. Automation: Paraflow can be manually operated via a lever or motorized and fully automated when integrated with our smart home system.Paraflow has smart home connectivity via the Matter unified connectivity standard and can be partnered with temperature, wind, rain and light sensors to intelligently adapt the home and reduce heating and cooling costs.Window Restriction: Additional add-in components are available which allow Paraflow to have restricted openings for child safety where required.
