  • Cameleer Camper responds to the need for a more compact, practical and lower-impact alternative to conventional campervans. Larger vehicles are often costly, difficult to park and less suited to everyday urban use. The challenge was to transform a micro van into a fully functional camper while working within strict constraints of space, payload, vehicle height and daily drivability. The project also sought to rethink how camper vehicles are developed and produced, using digital design and local fabrication to reduce inefficiency, transport burden and reliance on centralised manufacturing, while maintaining real-world usability, comfort and build feasibility.

  • Cameleer Camper applies a digital-first design process to transform a micro van into a fully functional camper for daily use and short-stay travel. Using 3D scanning, digital modelling and virtual prototyping, the layout was developed to integrate sleeping, dining, cooking, storage, power and personal care within a highly compact vehicle. The main challenge was balancing liveability with strict limits of space, payload, height and drivability. This was resolved through precise spatial planning and lightweight construction. The process culminated in a fully functional prototype, demonstrating both practical usability and the feasibility of digitally developed, localised production.

  • Cameleer Camper demonstrates a more compact, inclusive and lower-impact approach to recreational mobility. Built on a 0.66L engine 'Kei' van platform, it reduces material demand and supports easier driving, parking and garage access than larger campervans. Environmentally, its digital-to-local production model reduces transport burden and manufacturing inefficiency. Commercially, the project supports regional production, customisation and faster development through digital workflows. Socially, it makes outdoor travel more accessible to city dwellers, downsizers and less experienced drivers by combining daily usability with essential living functions in one manageable vehicle.

  • Despite its extremely compact footprint, Cameleer Camper integrates a complete set of living functions within a micro van platform. Developed on the Suzuki Every DA17W, with overall dimensions of approximately 3395 mm long, 1475 mm wide and 1910 mm high (Smaller than a Toyota Yaris), the project demonstrates how a very small vehicle can support one or two users through highly efficient spatial planning. The interior combines sleeping, dining, cooking, storage, grooming, toilet and shower functions in one compact environment. Key features include a compact kitchen, transformable table, integrated water storage, 12V and 240V power systems, and a projection-based entertainment setup. Developed through 3D scanning, digital modelling and prototyping, the design achieves precise integration within strict limits of size, height and payload.Beyond recreational use, the vehicle also supports daily life by offering mobile power, cold storage, rest space and a familiar private environment throughout the day. The small vehicle platform supports easier driving, parking and garage access than larger campervans, making it more practical for urban users, downsizers and less experienced drivers. Together, these features create a compact “mini home” for everyday mobility and short-stay travel.
