  • Australians send over 220,000 tonnes of textiles to landfill each year. That’s 4.2 tonnes or the weight of an elephant every ten minutes. While 36% of Australians want to repair their clothing, many lack the time, confidence and skills.FabPatch responds to both a practical and cultural challenge. Repair has been deprioritised in a fast fashion system and is sometimes associated with complexity rather than value. The simplicity of a rub-on repair provides an accessible alternative to replacement. FabPatch supports a circular economy by diverting textiles from landfill while helping shift perceptions of repair through education and attractive, modern, solutions.

  • The ease with which clothing is replaced rather than repaired, driven by lost skills and low-cost fast fashion, is a huge problem.FabPatch is a rub-on textile repair patch that functions like a durable sticker for clothing and gear. It requires no sewing, tools or experience, making repair immediate and accessible.Introduced to Australia in 2024 by Sisko Sisters after discovery in Europe, FabPatch has been localised through licensed Australian artwork and textile designs. The product enables both visible and invisible repair, supporting a circular economy through simple, affordable and adaptable solutions that extend garment life.

  • In 2025, FabPatch repairs diverted over 1.91 tonnes of textile waste from landfill and prevented more than 15.28 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. This directly supports UN SDG 12 and SDG 13.FabPatch also contributes socially through ongoing fundraising for Minus 18 who support LGBTIQ+ youth, donating $3 from every Pride patch sold.Commercially, FabPatch is highly accessible. Repairs can cost as little as $3 when patches are cut to size, making sustainable repair affordable and scalable. The combined environmental, social and economic outcomes demonstrate measurable impact and position FabPatch as a practical tool for behaviour change.

  • FabPatch is an award-winning innovation that promotes a modern repair culture. It enables consumers to extend the lifespan of textile items, reducing unnecessary consumption and waste. Its rub-on application requires no heat, tools or skills, allowing repairs to be completed anywhere and in any climate. Its simple application method, much like using a sticker, makes it accessible to those with limited mobility and sight. This accessibility removes traditional barriers and broadens participation in sustainable practices. The adhesive technology is vegan, solvent free and compliant with EU REACH regulations. Patch materials include GRS (Global Recycle Standard) certified recycled fabrics, supporting responsible sourcing.FabPatch is highly customisable. Patches can be produced for brands, organisations and institutions using bespoke colours, logos and designs. This includes the ability to create patches from existing fabrics, enabling alignment with uniforms, workwear and branded garments.Customisation extends to packaging and product formats, allowing repair solutions to be tailored for retail or internal use. This makes repair more desirable and relevant across diverse audiences. The supply chain aligns with the UN Supplier Code of Conduct, supporting fair labour practices, safe conditions and ethical production standards.
