  • The challenge was to develop a next-generation device capable of reliably monitoring and managing critical data in extreme and inaccessible environments. Traditional devices struggle with durability, battery life and complex maintenance, especially in critical industries. The device needed a minimum 10-year field and battery life, quick in-field battery swap, be virtually indestructible with military-grade ruggedness, operate in -40°C to +75°C temperatures, withstand 100% humidity, be IP68 rating, support advanced connectivity options, and reduce cloud dependency through edge computing. Representative of a next-generation device, Captis S2 Pulse required a new brand image, a distinctive design language and enhanced usability features.
