  • Laundromat owners faced fragmented systems with siloed data across pricing, promotions, and performance. Many relied on paper records or memory, struggling with technology. The existing portal displayed raw data without prioritization, leaving owners unable to connect revenue patterns to business decisions. Our challenge was transforming complex operational data into intuitive visualizations that balanced depth with clarity. Our design balanced comprehensive functionality with clear information hierarchies, emphasizing what matters most in each context. We aimed to guide owners toward actionable decisions within the physically demanding, attention-limited laundromat environment, all while ensuring visual consistency across devices.

  • BubblePay empowers laundromat owners by turning raw data into actionable insights. Owners can now remotely access and control machines - eliminating the need for constant physical presence. They can track revenue by day, week, machine or customer footfall, and link rewards to real-time transactions to boost loyalty. A key breakthrough was linking machine performance to revenue trends, revealing business blind spots and enabling strategic decisions. We tackled data overload using reality-matched layouts, progressive disclosure, and a purposeful color language. The design centers around: simplification without losing depth, way to guide action, and contextual relationships between data—ensuring owners lead with ease.

It boosts owner autonomy, supports digital payment adoption, and enables data-driven decisions, leading to 20–30% projected efficiency gains. Early adopters report 23% increased revenue through optimized pricing and 15% higher customer retention. The solution empowers small business owners—often immigrants and first-time entrepreneurs—to compete effectively against corporate laundromat chains. This supports underrepresented entrepreneurs, and makes local laundry services more reliable.
