PRODUCT DESIGN JUROR

Sasha Titchkosky is the co-founder and CEO of Koskela; Australia’s leading sustainability practitioner in the furniture and design industry. She has become an influential voice for circular business and social impact as she transforms Koskela towards total circularity by 2027 and absolute-zero emissions by 2035. She also leads programs that use design skills to support Australia’s Indigenous communities.

Sasha founded Koskela in 2000 with her partner Russel Koskela, both leaving behind lucrative jobs in the corporate sector in a bid to create a company with a courageous mindset and strong social conscience. Sasha had previously studied law and accounting and worked at the Australian Stock Exchange in a range of roles.

Sasha now works with some of the world’s leading corporations and educational institutions to create work and learning spaces of the future, from Airbnb to Pinterest, Apple, Google, and Australia’s leading law firms and banks.

In 2017 Koskela became Australia’s first certified furniture B Corporation, a proud moment for Sasha, who is inspired by being part of the global movement of people using business as a force for good. She is committed to manufacturing their range in Australia and is a fearless advocate for using design skills to affect social change.

She firmly believes that Australia’s unique Indigenous culture needs to be celebrated and acknowledged. As a result, Koskela’s social impact projects have returned $1.4 million to First Nations communities and received a host of accolades. Collections have been exhibited in Japan, Brisbane, Melbourne and Milan, while other pieces have been privately commissioned for businesses and homes around the world, including renowned Copenhagen restaurant, NOMA.

Highly respected in both the design and business communities, Sasha has won InStyle’s Women of Style Award, is the chairperson of the ANZ B Corp Climate Collective and was recently named in the Australian Financial Review’s top 100 Most Influential Women Leaders. Sasha also spoke at the Circularity 2023 conference and won the pitchfest award to lead the industry forward in circular practice and a closed-loop economy.
