Melinda is a trusted and experienced specialist in the fashion and multi category retail sector, with a decade of experience advising on human rights and sustainability strategies for a range of Australia and New Zealand’s leading brands and largest retailers.

Melinda has extensive expertise spanning supply chain transformation, governance frameworks, modern slavery and ethical sourcing due diligence, policy development, supply chain mapping & traceability, sustainable textiles strategy and execution, third party standard verification and claims compliance and communications and stakeholder engagement including supplier relationships. 

With considerable experience in end-to-end programme implementation, having worked both in-house and in consulting roles, she is committed to building and embedding business wide capacity and maturity to future proof human rights and sustainability agendas.

Melinda is a Churchill Fellowship recipient, founded the Australian arm of the global not-for-profit Fashion Revolution, co-ordinating the local chapter of the movement for 9 years. In 2019, Melinda launched Legacy Summit, Australasia’s leading fashion summit on doing business responsibly, a Good Design Australia award winner. Melinda’s thought leadership has frequently been sought from mainstream media outlets including The Guardian, SMH and Vogue including appearances on Network 10’s The Project and ABC’s War on Waste series.
