Ken O’Neill

ENGINEERING DESIGN JUROR

Ken is a passionate designer who thrives on developing clever, innovative solutions on the most challenging projects.

He has twenty-five years of experience in delivering major infrastructure projects, specialising in bridge engineering.

After spending two years working in Ireland following his graduation, Ken joined Aurecon in 2002 and now serves in the role of Design Director.

He is a chartered professional engineer, a fellow of Engineers Australia and the current Chairperson of the Civil and Structural Branch at the Engineers Australia Sydney Division.

Known for his expertise in bridges, Ken has presented at several national and international conferences on bridge design and regularly shares his insights and pictures of bridges on Instagram (@bridgekon). 

Throughout his career, Ken has been instrumental in delivering several prestigious and award winning projects including Barangaroo Reserve, Grafton Bridge, Sydney Harbour Bridge Infrastructure Upgrade and the ANZAC Bridge Maintenance Project.
