James is Co-principal/founder at Weft Strategy. A strategic design firm weaving together leadership and the meaningful experience of strategy for stakeholders. 

James is the founder of de Luxe & Associates, designing with global media clients through the creation and re-invention of editorial projects. De Luxe undertook projects across the USA, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, South Korea, New Zealand, and Australia. In 2009 de Luxe won a competitive bid to redesign Harvard Business Review, which led to James and family relocating to Boston from 2011 to 2018 as the first Creative Director at HBR. His role centred on building and honing the value of design in the transformation of Harvard Business Publishing into a dynamic multi-dimensional ‘ideas’ organisation. 

Returning to Australia, James worked at Second Road – Australia’s original design-driven strategy consultancy.

James is currently an Adjunct Professor of Design at The University of Technology, Sydney.
