Ed Ko is an award-winning independent industrial designer, lecturer, communicator, and community builder committed to fostering creative expression and driving positive change through industrial design.

With over 15 years of experience, his philosophy, “The Semantics and Mechanics of Industrial Design,” navigates the balance between conceptual meaning and practical application and as a university tutor lecturer, Ed shares his industry knowledge, exploring design theory and practice, challenging students to master design concepts’ semantics and execution mechanics.

With extensive industry experience, Ed leads successful design projects, spanning consumer goods, med tech, sustainable product design, and social impact programs. As a co-founder of IDX (Industrial Design eXchange), he organises events promoting connection, collaboration, and education in industrial design.
