JULIAN BRIGGS

Julian is Aurecon’s Design Director for Water and Wastewater Treatment, one of the inaugural members of Aurecon’s Design Academy.  

He has been in the water industry for 29 years working as a consulting and design engineer.

He graduated in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University in the UK before moving to Australia.

Julian has been fortunate to work on interesting infrastructure projects in most of the major cities around Australia as well as New Zealand and Asia, from strategic planning through to commissioning, operation and optimisation.

He is passionate about finding more efficient ways to deliver water services for all with a focus on systems thinking, including optimising performance, improving energy efficiency and delivering more sustainable outcomes.
