Shane Talbot

Shane Talbot designs products for a living, and his work has won multiple awards, including Good Design Australia’s “Design of the Year” in 2020. Over the past 15+ years he has been the creative force behind designs that have spanned everything from life-saving medical gear to defence-tech and everyday objects that people can’t live without, while working at design consultancies including 4Design and Design Edge. 

Beyond design consultancies, Shane also ran a furniture workshop and t-shirt design startup. He is an avid photographer and tinkerer, and co-founded the retro camera repair service Surry Hills Camera Co. When not designing you’ll find Shane with a camera in hand, embracing the beautiful imperfections and tangible process of film photography.
